Since 2004, the Jaipur Rugs Foundation has worked to improve the lives of rug-weaving artisans in India. This is done through training, skills development, and social interventions. Overview
The Director of Innovation & AI Platform is a change agent and strategic partner — someone who bridges business problems and AI solutions, builds cross-functional momentum, and drives adoption from the inside out. This is not a project management or vendor oversight role. We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities where AI creates new value, champion intelligent automation with humans in the loop, train and elevate our teams across all functions, govern our AI adoption responsibly, and help define where AI takes Jaipur Living next. If the future of this business is shaped in part by what AI makes possible — this role is where that future gets built.

Essential Responsibilities:
AI Implementation & Technology
Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI tools across sales, marketing, supply chain, and other business functions
Partner with the Data & Analytics team to build AI-powered delivery mechanisms — agents, tools, and interfaces — that surface insights for non-technical users;
Integrate existing systems (D365, CRM, Adobe Commerce) with AI capabilities where justified by business value

Workflow Automation
Map, prioritize, and automate high-value workflows across departments
Design automation with a human-in-the-loop philosophy — augmenting decisions, not replacing accountability
Partner with the business applications team to take automations from concept to production; measure and report time/cost savings

AI Training & Skills Development
Conduct a company-wide AI skills assessment; establish a baseline and identify training priorities by function
Design and deliver role-specific AI training tailored to how each team works — what Sales needs differs from Supply Chain or Finance
Track adoption and productivity improvement by department; maintain a living AI playbook with approved tools, use cases, and prompting guidance

Change Management & Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead change management for AI initiatives — addressing resistance, building confidence, and sustaining adoption across functions
Chair a standing cross-functional AI steering group with representation from each business function, ensuring alignment and shared accountability
Develop stakeholder engagement plans so business leads are active co-owners of change, not passive recipients of new tools
Influence and drive collaboration without formal authority

AI Governance & Security
Establish and enforce policies for responsible AI use — data privacy, vendor risk, model accuracy, and output accountability
Maintain an AI tool inventory with usage tracking, cost governance, and risk classification
Serve as the internal point of contact for AI-related risk and compliance escalations

AI Strategy & Roadmap
Own a prioritized AI use-case portfolio tied directly to P&L outcomes — revenue, margin, and productivity — and be accountable for demonstrating measurable financial impact, not just adoption metrics
Maintain portfolio discipline: actively deprioritize or kill initiatives that don't meet defined success criteria, keeping the team focused on the highest-value bets
Contribute to the annual technology roadmap with an AI-first lens; monitor emerging tools and platforms relevant to our industry
Drive responsible AI cost management — token optimization, self-hosted LLM evaluation, and limiting AI spend to high-value workflows
Provide quarterly updates to leadership on AI progress, ROI, and strategic direction
