This is a role that TechTree is recruiting for on behalf of one of our clients.
TechTree is an AI-driven recruitment platform working with high-growth companies.
When you apply, our AI Agent matches you not just to this role, but to other relevant opportunities across our network, so one application can unlock multiple roles.
AI Platform Lead — own the entire data and AI layer of a small, AI-forward business. On-site, Berlin.
Note: this posting is deliberately anonymized. We'll share the company and full context on the first call.
As the first dedicated AI hire at a small, AI-forward business in Berlin, you'd own the entire data and AI layer — how information is stored, connected, retrieved and put to work. The team already uses frontier models and MCP connectors day to day; your job is to take that much further, with real ownership and a direct line to leadership.
What You'll Do
→ Own the data and AI layer: design how data flows, build internal document retrieval, and ship agentic workflows that remove repetitive work
→ Own access controls, data governance and evals, so the systems are reliable and safe
→ Sit with stakeholders across the business, run enablement, and turn what works into reusable playbooks
What We're Looking For
→ Shipped agentic / LLM systems in production — agent pipelines, RAG, evals, MCP servers, workflow orchestration
→ Strong production Python across the modern LLM stack, with an evaluation mindset and consulting-grade communication
→ Roughly 3–9 years of experience; fluent English; based in Berlin or willing to relocate (in-person team)
