The Office of AI and Digital Innovation (OAIDI) lead the University's efforts to advance AI talent, research, innovation and strategic partnerships that create meaningful societal and economic impact.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-looking Assistant Director to help drive OAIDI's strategic growth. You will work closely with senior leadership, faculty, industry, government agencies and international partners to develop major research initiatives, expand strategic partnerships, secure research funding and deliver high-impact programmes that strengthen SUTD's Design AI ecosystem.

What You Will Do
Drive strategic initiatives that advance OAIDI's priorities in AI and digital innovation.
Identify and develop major research funding opportunities, grant proposals and corporate laboratory initiatives.
Build and manage strategic partnerships with industry, government and international organisations.
Develop new business and collaboration opportunities that expand SUTD's research and innovation portfolio.
Oversee strategic programmes, laboratories and key initiatives, ensuring strong governance and successful delivery.
Work closely with faculty and multidisciplinary teams to translate ideas into impactful outcomes.
Represent OAIDI at strategic meetings and external engagements and deputize for the Senior Director when required.

What You Will Bring
Relevant professional training in engineering, computer science, business, innovation management or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
Strong experience in research development, innovation, business development or strategic partnerships.
Experience engaging industry, government agencies and research institutions.
Knowledge of research funding, grant development, corporate laboratories or innovation programmes is advantageous.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
