Director of AI | Enterprise AI Products & Agentic Automation | Dusseldorf (Hybrid)

AI Futures Ltd has been exclusively retained to appoint a Director of AI for a leading global organisation.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, building, and scaling a portfolio of AI-powered products, platforms, and agentic automation solutions across a complex enterprise environment. The mandate is to transform AI from isolated initiatives into enterprise products that deliver measurable business value, drive adoption, and create sustainable competitive advantage.

You will own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and operating model for enterprise AI products, ensuring AI capabilities are translated into scalable solutions that improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and unlock new opportunities across the organisation.

Location: Dusseldorf (Hybrid)
Remuneration: Up to €300k total package

The Role
Define and execute the enterprise AI product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities
Lead and scale the AI Competence Center as a product-driven organisation focused on delivering measurable business outcomes
Own the lifecycle of enterprise AI products, platforms, and agentic automation solutions from concept through adoption and optimisation
Partner with executive stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and deliver high-impact AI use cases across business functions
Drive the development of reusable AI capabilities, shared platforms, and productised AI services that accelerate enterprise-wide adoption
Establish product operating models, success metrics, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies to maximise value creation
Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams spanning product, AI, engineering, data, and business domains
Act as the executive sponsor for enterprise AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between business strategy, customer needs, and technology delivery

The Candidate
10+ years of leadership experience across AI, Product Management, Data, Technology, or Digital Transformation within large and complex organisations
Proven track record of building, scaling, and commercialising AI-powered products, platforms, or digital capabilities
Strong product leadership background with experience defining vision, strategy, roadmaps, and business cases
Demonstrated success delivering measurable business outcomes through AI, automation, and digital innovation
Deep understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, agentic automation, enterprise platforms, and modern product operating models
Strong product experience, with a track record of taking AI-enabled products from concept through delivery, adoption, and optimisation
Consulting experience is highly desirable, with the ability to operate effectively in complex transformation environments and advise senior stakeholders
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and drive organisational change
Language: English (additional languages a plus)
