Roles and Responsibilities
Product strategy & vision
Define long-term AI product strategy aligned with company OKRs and market trends.
Champion user problems, competitive differentiators, and regulatory considerations.
Roadmap & backlog ownership
Convert strategy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; prioritise using data-driven frameworks.
Maintain a groomed backlog and lead sprint planning with cross-functional squads.
End-to-end delivery
Collaborate daily with engineering, data science, UX, QA, and DevOps to ship high-quality releases.
Drive trade-off decisions on model choices (e.g., classical ML vs. LLM), latency, cost, and privacy.Private and Confidential www.fissionlabs.com [email protected]
User & stakeholder engagement
Conduct discovery interviews, usability testing, and beta programs with target users (developers, analysts, business owners).
Present roadmaps, release demos, and performance updates to executive leadership and customers.
Metrics & continuous improvement
Define success KPIs (adoption, NPS, accuracy, cost per inference, ARR). Monitor dashboards and run A/B tests to optimize.
Capture feedback loops to iterate on prompts, models, or feature sets.
Market & ecosystem awareness
Track advances in AI frameworks, vector databases, model hosting, and responsible-AI standards.
Evaluate build / partner / buy options and recommend platform integrations or third-party partnerships.
Qualifications Required
7-9 years total product-management experience, including 3+ years with AI / ML / data-platform products.
Proven track record shipping B2B SaaS, platform APIs, or developer-tooling features end-to-end.
Hands-on familiarity with AI concepts: supervised vs. unsupervised learning, model evaluation, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, MLOps pipelines.
Ability to write clear PRDs, epics, and technical diagrams; comfortable using Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills; fluent with SQL/BI tools for product metrics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across business and technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred / Nice To Have
Experience with vector databases, LLM fine-tuning, or agentic AI orchestration.
Understanding of cloud AI services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cost-optimisation levers.
Familiarity with responsible-AI frameworks and governance in regulated industries.
MBA from Tier-1 Institution
