As Head of Platform Engineering at Model ML, you will lead the evolution of production-grade infrastructure for the AI era. Based in Kings Cross, you’ll own the end-to-end cloud strategy, scaling our Azure/AKS environment and leading a growing team. You’ll ensure high availability, security, and compliance for the world’s leading financial institutions.

What You Will Do

Architect and scale cloud infrastructure using Azure, AKS, and Terraform to support rapid product growth and demanding financial service workloads.
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure system reliability, performance, and seamless software delivery across all services.
Lead the company through SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, implementing rigorous security, secrets management, and compliance measures across the entire platform.

The ideal candidate

Has 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering, specifically architecting and operating production-grade Kubernetes and Terraform environments at scale.
Demonstrates a proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in high-growth startup environments with a focus on operational excellence.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture and possesses deep experience navigating complex compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
