Role Summary

Job Description

This high-impact role leads the division-wide AI transformation within our Transportation division, creating value at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, technology, business transformation, and innovation.

As AI Transformation Lead, you own the AI execution roadmap, serving as the bridge between strategic intent and technical execution. You ensure responsible AI governance, drive the implementation of high-impact AI initiatives, and enable measurable business outcomes through effective portfolio management and change management.

Working closely with business functions, IT, and external partners, you will build a strong AI ecosystem based on capabilities, culture, and talent that creates customer value, enhances competitiveness, and transforms the way we work. In this role, you will ensure alignment between business and IT perspectives while driving the successful adoption and scaling of AI across the division.

Your Responsibilities

Define and communicate a clear AI vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with divisional objectives, positioning AI as a key driver of business and technology transformation.
Own AI portfolio and program management from ideation and business case evaluation through prioritization, implementation, and value realization.
Establish KPI frameworks and success metrics to measure the impact, adoption, progress, and value of AI initiatives.
Lead and guide internal teams and development partners in delivering scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions that create measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and customer centricity.
Establish and continuously evolve scalable program structures, including operating models, governance frameworks, interfaces, reporting mechanisms, and quality gates.
Foster a data-driven, agile, and innovative culture that embraces experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop AI professionals while promoting knowledge sharing and capability building across the organization.
Drive stakeholder alignment and influence decision-making across functions and organizational levels in complex environments.
Ensure the required data foundations and lifecycle management processes are established, including ongoing monitoring of quality and reliability.
Partner with IT, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant functions to ensure alignment with cybersecurity, data protection, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to support the successful adoption of AI-enabled processes and ways of working across the organization.
Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and future business value.
Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical implementation throughout the AI transformation journey.

Your Profile

Education: Successfully completed university degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
Experience:
More than 5 years of professional experience, including substantial experience leading strategic projects as well as transformation, digitalization, or technology programs in complex organizations.
Hands-on experience in AI, data, or digitalization programs, including the implementation and scaling of technology-driven business initiatives.
Proven experience managing complex programs across multiple stakeholders, functions, and organizational levels.
Experience establishing and driving transformation initiatives within international and matrix-based organizations.
Experience engaging with executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders.
Expertise:
Strong digital-first mindset and solid understanding of AI on both a strategic and applied level.
Strong understanding of where AI creates value, where its limitations lie, and which risks need to be considered.
Solid understanding of data flows and business processes within industrial organizations, including where value is created and where bottlenecks occur.
Strong project and program management expertise across waterfall and agile delivery approaches; experience with hybrid delivery models is an advantage.
Experience establishing and scaling program structures, including operating models, governance frameworks, interfaces, reporting mechanisms, and quality gates.
Experience with AI governance, Responsible AI principles, data protection requirements (GDPR), and emerging regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable and value-generating AI initiatives.
Languages: Business‑fluent English skills. German would be a plus.
