Key Responsibilities

1. Shape Future Business Direction

Develop a deep understanding of supply chain businesses, customers, operating models, and market dynamics.
Build a direct understanding of customer needs and challenges through customer engagement, continuous learning, and gemba (onsite experience).
Identify future opportunities and challenges arising from changing customer requirements, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Define future business concepts, operating models, and strategic initiatives that create sustainable competitive advantages and meaningful customer value.

1. Lead Human × AI Business Transformation

Play a leading role in the development of an AI-enabled Supply Chain Control Tower.
Define how people, business processes, data, and AI can work together to improve decision-making, productivity, risk management, and customer value.
Work with business leaders, operational teams, and technology specialists to transform ideas into business capabilities.

1. Connect Vision with Reality

Balance high-level strategic thinking with detailed understanding of business and operational realities.
Challenge existing assumptions and identify opportunities for breakthrough improvements.
Translate business vision into executable initiatives and measurable outcomes.

1. Drive Strategic Initiatives

Evaluate business models, profitability drivers, customer value propositions, and strategic trade-offs to strengthen long-term competitiveness.
Develop business cases and recommendations for management.
Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance and competitiveness.
Assess business performance and identify opportunities for sustainable growth, profitability, and value creation.

1. Influence and Mobilize Stakeholders

Align stakeholders across business, operational, and technology functions around a common vision and direction.
Drive initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
Contribute to organizational learning by capturing and sharing business insights, transformation approaches, and lessons learned.

Candidate Requirements

Recognize how advances in technology may change customer expectations, business models, and competitive dynamics, and translate those insights into business opportunities.

Influence stakeholders and lead change across functions and countries.
See both the big picture and the underlying business realities.
Experience that would be an advantage:
Supply chain, logistics, trading, manufacturing, or related business experience.
Proven results leading business transformation, strategic initiatives, business development, or organizational change.
Experience working with AI, analytics, automation, DX, or digital technologies.
Experience leading cross-functional projects.
Regional or international business exposure.
