Our client is a leading global financial institution seeking an AI Project Manager with a strong background in data engineering or data analytics to manage AI-related projects from planning to delivery. The ideal candidate combines project management expertise with a solid understanding of data platforms, analytics, and AI technologies to coordinate technical teams and drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end delivery of AI, data engineering, and analytics projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and deliverables are met.
Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to align project objectives.
Translate business requirements into project plans, technical requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
Track project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and resolve delivery issues.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, provide project updates, and communicate progress and risks.
Ensure data quality, project documentation, and delivery standards are maintained.
Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, analytics processes, and AI-driven solutions.
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in project management or program coordination within data engineering, data analytics, AI, or technology environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and analytics workflows.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the lifecycle of AI or data-driven projects.
Experience working with technical teams and translating business needs into actionable project requirements.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Good to have
Experience delivering AI/ML, generative AI, or large-scale data platform projects.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, BI tools, or cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
