Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Performance Analytics, APEC is a team manager role responsible for shaping topline strategies through advanced analytics, executive communication, and data-driven storytelling. This role leads a team that translates complex performance, market share, revenue, and commercial data into clear insights, recommendations, and leadership narratives that enable senior stakeholders to make timely, fact-based decisions that drive revenue growth, market share performance, and commercial effectiveness across APEC.
The position partners closely with Commercial discipline leaders, market teams, regional stakeholders, and global partners to frame business questions, develop analytical approaches, and convert insights into executive-ready communication. The role is also accountable for building scalable reporting and visualization capabilities, including Power BI dashboards, and for coaching team members to deliver high-quality analysis, compelling data stories, and consistent recurring deliverables for monthly and quarterly performance routines, Annual Business Planning, goal setting, and strategic initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education & Experience
4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or a quantitative discipline (finance, computer science, operations research, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, with progressive responsibility in analytics, commercial strategy, business intelligence, or revenue strategy, including experience leading or coaching analysts and managing stakeholder-facing deliverables
Preferred: Working experience in Commercial or Customer teams, or related business intelligence environment
Skills And Knowledge
Demonstrates strong analytical judgment, with the ability to connect commercial performance, market dynamics, financial analysis, statistical concepts, and business context into actionable topline strategies
Strong people and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize work, guide analysts, manage multiple assignments, and maintain quality execution across recurring and ad hoc deliverables
Strength in strategic planning, executive communication, and data storytelling, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear, succinct, and compelling leadership narratives
Ability to frame ambiguous business questions, digest large volumes of complex data, identify the most relevant signals, and translate findings into recommendations that support executive decision making
Leadership presence and confidence to engage senior stakeholders, facilitate discussions, challenge assumptions constructively, and represent the analytics function in leadership forums
Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change; supports and manages positive change.
Innovative thinker, able to readily apply past learnings in new situations to generate solutions and/or create something entirely new.
Excellent command of the English language, with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-ready materials, talking points, and leadership presentations
Technical skills and experience:
Proficiency with PowerPoint is essential, along with advanced data analysis skills including querying, modeling, manipulation, and interpretation of large datasets using applications such as MS Excel
Advanced proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database environments such as Snowflake to pull and manage large datasets.
Strong experience with business intelligence and dashboarding tools like Tableau or Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, visual storytelling, performance monitoring, and creating intuitive executive-facing reports;
Exposure to statistical modeling, forecasting, automation, Python, or related programming languages is advantageous
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Lead the ideation, development, and execution of analytics-led initiatives that support Commercial and Revenue Strategy leadership in shaping topline strategies and making strategic business decisions
Manage and coach a team of analysts to deliver high-quality insights, executive communication, recurring performance deliverables, and ad hoc strategic analysis
Drive the development and enhancement of scalable reporting, dashboard, and visualization capabilities, with particular emphasis on Power BI solutions that improve performance monitoring, decision support, and executive self-service
Own the development of monthly and quarterly leadership communication decks, including performance updates, market share trends, commercial opportunities, risks, and recommended actions
Translate complex data into insight-led stories that connect business context, analytical findings, financial implications, and clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams including Markets, Regional, Global Commercial Services, Digital, Marketing, Loyalty, Partnerships, and Operations to align analytical work with business priorities
Lead special projects and executive requests, including problem framing, analytical approach, stakeholder alignment, insight generation, recommendation development, and final presentation delivery
